Over the past few years, we’ve seen firsthand just how quickly the out-of-home delivery sector is evolving. We’ve been part of building and scaling locker networks across Europe and, more recently, in North America. From working closely with courier companies to developing advanced locker networks, we’ve come to realize one thing: the market is growing fast, but the knowledge around how to approach it strategically is still fragmented.
That’s why, when Last Mile Experts approached us with the idea of supporting The Ultimate Out-of-Home Delivery Handbook, it felt like the natural next step in contributing to a more informed, connected last-mile ecosystem.
Written by industry experts
The Ultimate Out-of-Home Delivery Handbook is authored by Marek Różycki and Greg Krupa, both seasoned professionals with decades of experience in parcel logistics, last-mile innovation, and strategy.
Marek Różycki, Managing Partner at Last Mile Experts, brings over 30 years of experience in the courier, express & parcel (CEP) sector and e-commerce logistics. He has held key roles across the industry, from building courier startups to serving as Vice President for Amazon Logistics in Europe. Today, he advises global logistics players on strategy, innovation, and operational transformation. Greg Krupa, also a Partner at Last Mile Experts, has built an extensive career across companies like FedEx and DPD Polska, where he held executive roles in international operations and strategic planning. The handbook was edited by Gregor Gowans, who leads editorial content at Last Mile Experts, curates the Last Mile Brief newsletter, and produces the Last Mile Prophets video series.
Together, they’ve created one of the most comprehensive resources available on out-of-home delivery - a practical guide for anyone involved in building, operating, or expanding a parcel locker network.
Why this handbook matters
We often get questions from potential partners about where to begin. Should they go autonomous or plug-in? Which compartment sizes should they prioritize? How do they calculate ROI? How should they manage multiple courier integrations? These are essential questions, but there wasn’t a single resource out there that brought the answers together in one place.
This handbook is the kind of resource we wish we could’ve handed out to new partners when we first started working together. It’s not only an excellent primer for anyone looking to get started with lockers or PUDO networks, it’s also packed with best practices and operational guidance for those who want to optimize and scale an existing network.
