At this year’s Romanian Courier and Postal Services Business Awards for Excellence, organized by GOVNET Romania, ARKA was awarded the Most Innovative Service/Product in Delivery Services prize for the Reach Locker.
This marks the third time ARKA has received this distinction, confirming the relevance of our approach to building modern out-of-home delivery infrastructure. Being recognised again in this category reflects ARKA’s consistent approach to innovation. Previous awards highlighted energy autonomy and security through products like the Lumen autonomous locker and the Ultra Secure Smart Parcel Locker. With Reach Locker, the focus shifts toward how locker networks interact with urban environments and end users.
Reach Locker: More Than a Parcel Locker
The Reach Locker is the latest model developed by ARKA and introduces a new approach to out-of-home delivery. While it fully supports the operational needs of couriers and postal services, it also brings something new to the table: the ability to advertise directly at the point of parcel pickup.
By integrating a 55” front-facing display with a 12” operational touchscreen, Reach Locker allows network operators to display advertisements, creating an additional revenue stream alongside parcel delivery. At the same time, the locker functions as a live digital billboard for cities and communities, reaching people precisely at the moment they pick up their parcels, without requiring extra space or additional urban infrastructure.
From a technical perspective, Reach Locker is built as a modular, next-generation system, constructed from two-column units and scalable up to 32 modules. The hardware includes QR scanning, POS integration, a permanently connected 4G router, as well as remote monitoring, remote reset, and software updates, ensuring reliable operation across large networks. A complete security setup, including video surveillance, vibration sensors, door sensors, alarm system, and automatic LED lighting, supports safe, unattended use in busy urban environments.
