ARKA partners with ZEUS RFID to deliver a solar-powered locker solution for Central Greece

At the beginning of 2024, ARKA entered a new collaboration with ZeusRFID, delivering a custom-configured smart parcel locker designed for the Regional Administration of Central Greece. The project started with configurating the locker to the specific operational and environmental requirements of the region.

Given the predominantly warm climate and the need for flexible placement, the selected solution was a fully autonomous locker powered by solar energy. Designed for long-term outdoor use, the locker features a robust steel structure, UV-resistant electrostatic coating, and components engineered to withstand heat, humidity, and temperature variations. Its autonomous setup ensures reliable operation without dependency on the power grid, supporting sustainable and low-maintenance deployments.

The locker is equipped with a 7-inch display, secure electromagnetic locking systems, door status sensors, remote connectivity via GSM, and surveillance and alarm systems, enabling efficient monitoring and secure parcel handling. Built and produced in ARKA’s factory in Romania, the solution reflects a strong focus on durability, operational reliability, and overall build quality

Dimitris Novas, Head of Technology & Operations at ZEUS RFID, commented:
“Absolutely fantastic first impressions! The lockers stood out for their look and feel, earning very positive reactions from operations teams and stakeholders alike, with quality that fully lived up to it.”

This collaboration marks another step for ARKA in delivering tailored, energy-independent locker solutions for public institutions and regional authorities across Europe.
