This December marked a significant milestone as Govnet Romania celebrated the 10th Anniversary Edition of the Courier & Postal Services Business Awards for Excellence. This landmark event brought together the biggest names in the industry to honor innovation, dedication, and outstanding achievements across the courier and postal sector.
We are honored to announce that ARKA was awarded the "Most Innovative Service/Product in Delivery Services" prize for our autonomous Lumen locker. This award reflects our commitment to advancing technology and creating solutions that enhance the delivery experience. What sets the Lumen locker apart are its standout features:
• Sealed battery with an impressive 10-year lifespan, requiring no replacement.
• 12-inch touchscreen display, delivering a user-friendly experience.
• Always-on router, for seamless connectivity.
These innovations wouldn’t have been possible without the exceptional creativity and dedication of our Research and Development team, led by our CTO, Ph.D. Eng. Cezar Frîncu. We thank them for their hard work and valuable contributions.
Back in 2022, we were also presented with the "Most Innovative Service/Product in Delivery Services" award for our Ultra Secure Smart Parcel Locker. Govnet's recognition of our smart parcel locker solutions showcases our ongoing commitment to revolutionising the delivery industry with cutting-edge technology.
This year's event also celebrated many other industry leaders and their achievements. FAN Courier, our valued partner, stood out with multiple awards, including the prestigious "Investment of the Year" for their 25 million euro investment in their newest hub in Ștefăneștii de Jos. FAN Courier also won the "Sustainability Commitment Award" for their ambitious goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2040, becoming the first Romanian company to sign The Climate Pledge. Additionally, their Chief Commercial Officer, Mr. Cornel Morcov, was named "Manager of the Year", recognising his leadership and contributions since joining the company in 2007.
Other notable winners included Sameday, awarded "Courier Company of the Year" and recognised for "Best Website" and "Best Fixed Point Delivery Solution" through their innovative Easybox network, which now includes 7,000 lockers regionally. National Post received recognition for their impactful social program, STEP HEAR, which supports visually impaired customers in navigating postal services independently.
Colete Online, Packeta, BOWE Austria, and Ford were also acknowledged for their impressive achievements that contribute to the ongoing transformation of the courier and postal landscape.
At the event we also had the pleasure of welcoming our honored guest, Mr. Carsten Wallmann, Executive VP for Turkey & CEE at Austrian Post. He shared a few words about their company, which dates back to 1490, making it the oldest postal service in the world, established under the leadership of Maximilian I of the Roman Empire.
